Thank you, Show, for providing me with enough fodder to last me through to August.

I now how five (five!) fics on the go at once. Oh. Show. You do me so right.

I need a new mood. Opium.

EDIT: Comments are not spoiler-free!

YES.

I'm angry with Sam, though.

ICON. GIMME.

I'm angry with Sam, but I'm sort of happily angry with Sam. Without discord, there's nothing for them to fix, you know? Sam is doing things he thinks are right but knows Dean disagrees with, Dean has his Hell angst, things are very much in a handbasket, but it's GOOD. When Sam crashes back into being able to feel things fully like he used to (because I really thought he either shut himself off during Dean's absence or that the hurt just got so raw, that when it finally scabbed over, it didn't let anything else in), it's going to rock.

The thing I can't get over is boy, I really, really thought Sam was under the siren's influence when he THREW HIS PHONE AT THE WALL. But he wasn't! That's some serious anger there! It's delicious!

Also, I want to write fic that starts off with, "But when it was Dean holding a knife to his throat, Sam kinda didn't hate it." >:D

I agree. He looked deliciously angry when he threw his phone! (And viewing that scene independently from the rest of the show makes you almost hope he one day gets to be in a real movie so he can show what he's got. I love that moment. He looks so different from the Sam we're used to!)

When he does go back to feeling, I'm looking forward to him realizing what he's done to their relationship. He told Dean he slows him down. He practically betrayed Dean to Ruby. He left Dean alone with angels. If they really do that - have him snap back into Sam - it'll be amazing. I have the bad feeling that, if they get renewed, this season is going to end on the cliffhanger where Sam stands. They'll go out with a bang, having Sam and Dean confronting each other with no resolution.

Your Sam wouldn't hate it if Dean held a knife to his throat, no. He'd make lemonade out of it. He'd probably put his lime in Dean's coconut afterwards. Mmm... knifeplay.

I want to write fic that has Sam reacting to Dean's obvious jealousy by having sex with Ruby in Dean's body so he can watch and experience but not touch. :3

I have to wonder what Sam is up to. I'd like to think he's purposefully thinking these things to distance himself from Dean, because of the things Sam feels he needs to do. Like, take out Lilth for example, which saves the world, sure, but really boils down to avenging the hurt done to Dean.

Or hell, maybe he's even trying to drive Dean away (he doesn't want Dean to see what he's going to become), and Dean is slowing him down (he can't become what he thinks he needs to with Dean there). Maybe he feels Dean is better off without him, as long as he can do this one thing so Dean'll be safe, even while knowing it won't erase Dean's time in hell but it'll ensure it doesn't happen all over again, maybe this time on Earth. So what Sam said is all true but there's much more than just the face value of that truth.

Dean just wants Sam to trust him, and to be able to trust Sam, but Sam doesn't trust himself for at least five minutes each day. He can't give Dean what Dean wants/needs because he's busy trying to give Dean what HE thinks Dean really needs.

Unf. Delicious. I ramble plenty.

Oh! And he needs to get better at exorcising demons also because Alistair wasn't moved by it... and Alistair's the one who fucked with his brother. And if the apocalypse does come in the end, he knows that Dean will break.
You're so right.
(It's all so much more tragic when we read the show with our wincest glasses on.)

Are we talking about a serious D/s relationship here? This speculation goes down that path. Dean needs to be able to trust Sam. Sam doesn't trust himself, so he can't give Dean what he thinks Dean needs. Dean needs someone to forgive him for torturing souls.
;_; And there comes Bobby... so self-assured and knowledgeable and everything Sam feels lacking in himself right now... and Bobby swoops Dean right off his knees.
(I've been trying to write Bobby/Dean. It didn't work on the train, but maybe in the safety of my home, I could attempt it again.)

"Go, Dean."
"Go where?"
"With Bobby. I know you want to. I mean, just look at him... that broad, virile stallion, always coming to your rescue."
"Oh, Sammy." *breathy sigh*

I can totally see it.

This episode. So full of so much awesome it hurts.

- Bobby's wall of phones for fake verification. I lol'ed. And the way he was talking with the fed while cooking.
- The fed actually turning out to be a decent guy and handing them a lead
- This exchange:
Dean: ...Wait, did you sleep with her?
Sam: ...................no?
Dean: Holy crap, you did!
