So my grand total for things witten in blindfold_spn is 25k in 28 assorted fics and ficlets. It's going to take me a long, long time to claim all those. XD

What I'm really happy about is how freeing it was. And I don't mean kink-wise, I don't have any shame anyway. I mean as a writer, just picking a prompt, putting down whatever comes to mind and not worrying so much over structure, flow and readability (though I did that a lot, too). For me it turned into an exercise of what I can do, what I can't do, how quickly can I do it and how do I draw the reader into a snapshot moment.

They weren't all successful. That's totally not the point.

My only question is: When's the next one? XD

I totally agree. It allows one to write in ways one wouldn't usually write - different tense/structure/POV/what have you. :D Although, as you mentioned 'drawing the reader in' -- I gotta work on that. Which is why~ I'm also waiting for the next one. XD (Hopefully not too soon. It's a bit scary how much I ignored real life while this was going down.)

There were some more prompts that I wanted to give a shot until it closes on Saturday, but I feel all porned out. There are definitely some unanswered ones I'd like to read, however.

I think mine was too weird to get picked up. But that's okay. It means I have time until Saturday to write it myself. :p

You need to learn to get rid of some of that shame. :3 I have a few more scribbled in my notebook that might make it onto the meme before it closes and I'm locked out, but otherwise, Blue and I fessed up to all of ours!

I'm not ashamed to tell you which ones I wrote. It's just that the grammar is so atrocious and there is no emotion in my stories... :/ Talking to Blue reminded me of that... she wrote about 'drawing the reader in, in just a little ficlet' and it was like a little revelation, because I really don't think I did that. Oops.

:D Thanks so very much! I spend as much time in Pond's IJ as my own, but it's extra fabulous that you popped over here to tell me. I'm not sure how it ended up that I wrote both fics and she drew pics to accompany them, but I'm not complaining.

So, I have been stalking you for a while because I love your fics (deliciously dirty!) and I love team porn! Anyway, I've been going back and catching up on everything I missed (that I was interested in) at blindfold_spn, and I had to laugh (happily, not derisively) at how much of what I liked was written by you and how little it surprised me each time I saw your name. :D So, thanks! Thankie, thankie, thankie! :D blindfold really made me think about how characteristic my writing is--apparently, a couple of people guessed which ones I wrote! It's a good prod for remembering to mix up my style more to really stretch out.

TwentyEIGHT? Oh my unholy LORD. I was feeling compulsive somewhere below ten. That is HELLA impressive. And I couldn't agree more with your assessment, DEFINITELY a freeing experience in terms of just picking up and WRITING and seeing what came of it. Things I sure as hell never figured on writing. *wink* And freeing too in that... even after the fact I'm only a little bit self conscious about the bits that just didn't work.

I'm ready to do it again now please!

Aha. Well. It was a slow week at work. It'd been a week or more since I'd written anything, too, and it was like a jumpstart! Most of the time with writing, I find some scenes write themselves, it's just building up a frame around them that takes the time. The prompts meant I could skip all the framework and buildup and concentrate on getting the tasty images out of my head onto the screen.

I'm going to start cleaning them up and reposting soon. There are a couple I want to see if I can turn into proper fics. I shamelessly urge you to consider doing the same. :D

I think -- I think -- that I am indeed going to own up and post all of them. I've only got two up so far, and at least one I may be sitting on FOREVER waiting to see if a proper fic comes of it (it's Dean/John/Sam, so it's EASILY the one I'm most self-conscious about), but the rest... I figure I wrote them, and they're just going to gnaw at me if I don't fix 'em up and post 'em, y'know? There's really only the one that is threatening to turn into a fic proper, but I'm okay with that. Have a zillion things in progress already, after all *facepalm*.

You are a MARVEL, you hear me? Twenty-eight. I still can't get over it. \o/ And I finally went all the way through the entire meme again and could not BELIEVE how many of my favorites were ones you wrote. Well okay, I could totally believe it, because let's face reality: I love you're writing. But it's still entertaining as hell.
