So. I’m probably not gonna make much sense since I’m so jazzed. But you wrote my prompt!! Yeah!! Okay, Ms. Blue. See me now giving you a great big, old, smooshy kiss. Not what I imagined. But so much better. When I asked you to have Tommy get Sauli gone I pictured Jealous!Tommy scaring off little blonde Finnish boys in devious and stealthy ways. I didn’t expect Tommy to totally off Sauli or anything. Heh. But I didn’t imagine he’d vanquish him with nothing but pure love for Adam. So . . . big sigh for that. You did it so much better. Such a tender, funny, romantic thing you did. And I got my super happy ending! With extra bonus Epilogue! Whee! And you took me seriously about writing a long ass story! Yes! I love your words. How you string them together. The pictures you make. Your ear for dialogue. So, from you, more is always more. That sounds like something Adam would say so you know it’s gotta be true. And you had Adam singing! I seriously love that they were singing Fever together. And Tommy . . . this line got me.
Somehow, Adam's voice rises above it all, pure and bell-clear. Like so many times on stage, Tommy's chest squeezes tight. Whatever else Adam may be, he's a singer first, and music has always been the one thing able to reach Tommy at his core.
Not enough fic writers have Adam singing and it’s absolutely essential to who he is. So thanks for that too. Okay. I’m babbling. I could quote back the whole damn story but these bits made me go all gooey puddle and happy faced grin.
"I don't wanna be with a fucking guy," Tommy explodes, "I want to be with you. Jesus Christ, man. I'm in love with you. What the fuck do I care if that means you want to do me up the ass every other night and Sunday mornings too?"
"I want that," Tommy says, softly beneath the thrumming of the rain on the roof. "Whatever you're thinking, I want it."
Last thing. I wanted a story where me and my little tin hat could be perfectly happy and comfortable in a totally believable Sauli-free world and you came through. Thank you. :) Viv
